Hi there!
My name is Leah and I recently graduated from the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon. I am an interdisciplinary artist primarily working in the areas of animation, special effects and sculpture. Regardless of the medium, my work is often rooted in communicating the impression of expressive life and material quality. In doing this, I hopes to create unique sensory experiences that bring us closer to our bodies and the world in and around us.
My creative practice is most often an extension of the world I would like to cultivate, where the veil between reality and fantasy is thinned and the sensual, strange and ambiguous is embraced. This world is not only an eccentric take on reality, but a dream of what could be.
In my free time you’ll find me DJing with Carnegie Mellon’s radio station, WRCT.
